Hello reader! I’m deciding to use the blog feature on WordPress in order to give some fun little updates about opportunities and experiences I get the privilege of experiencing 🙂
For this first post, I’m sharing a really fun and unique digital I am participating through Music Creators Academy this month. The workshop is focusing on the compositional strategies and business aspects of writing for video games. This course is such a treat, because the industry is a little niche (all things considered). I also get the privilege to be taught by award-winning composer Jeff Broadbent! Jeff is extremely talented and so knowledgeable in this field, and it is such an honor to participate in his masterclasses.
Once the workshop is over, I’ll have two new pieces I’ll post here. Both are exercises in scoring for different types of video game scenarios, as well as a peek as to how one would receive materials from companies. I’m super excited to share these pieces soon 😉
